Living in the Community

For those who don’t know, I’m living in Redfern, where the Government has a lot of housing for people that can’t afford paying rent (or just don’t want to do it). I live in George Street, around here. And it has beeing a very good experience for me.

First, I live close to work, to church and to uni. I can go to any of those places by bike in less than 15 minutes. The further place I have to go regularly is Dave’s house, in Botany, but it’s still close. I can get there in about 25 minutes by bike if I ride dangerously. And the most important, I’m living close to the kids I disciple! And this is the best (and sometimes a not too good) thing about living here.

Despite the fact that in one month my two bikes got stolen (on porpouse, by people that know me), I’m enjoying it. And I know God has a plan for me in this place (otherwise I would be living very far away from here, where people don’t steal bycicles for “fun”). I know God will change this community, and He is using a lot of people to do this through the last years, and I’m very pleased for being part of such a privilege like this.

Please keep praying for this community, for the kids that live here and for me.
God bless you all! :)
