I decided to start a new series (actually two series): “10 things I love about me” and “10 things I hate about me”. I am working on both lists, and I should start posting soon. I will post one item at a time, and probably one love item and one hate item per day (prime number day, don’t forget!).

When I decided to write those series I was hoping to evaluate my life and get better by the end of it… let’s see how it goes. I also plan to write some fun posts about some of the items… you will see!

Now, just some unrelated riddles that my friends from twitter couldn’t find the answer (even though Google knows them very well):

As you can probably see, I didn’t update my blog lately. The main reason is because I was away on holidays. Another, also relevant reason is that I don’t have defined days to update my blog, and this doesn’t help me. And now is when the awesome idea comes…

Inspired by my friend FMD and his The Thursday Blog (and also inspired by my own craziness), I decided to update my blog on every day of the month that is a prime number! In case you don’t remember what a prime number is, it is a number that can only be divided by 1 and by itself. For example, 13 is prime, and that is why I am announcing this today! If you are confused, the list of all prime numbers from 1 to 31 is: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31. That means that if you come here on any of those days, there will be a brand new post!

To understand why this will work you need to understand my mind: I like standards and when things follow some known or unknown defined logic, and I will not want to break a standard in my own blog…

I imagine all of you know about the massive earthquake that affected Haiti, specially the regions around Port-au-Prince. Lots of people died, and some people estimate that the number of deaths will be around 200,000…

I really encourage you to help! Either by praying for them, by going there (I wish I could), or by giving money to some good organisation that is helping the people in Haiti. I already did, and my choice was Compassion.

I chose Compassion because they are already there for years, they have many Children Development Centres in Haiti, and they are focused in helping children and families, in Jesus’ name. Many of their Children Development Centres were affected, and possibly many of the sponsored children were injured or died because of the earthquake. If you can, I also encourage you to sponsor a child from Haiti once their operations there are back to normal.

Welcome to my new blog: foronechild.com! This blog was once hosted under blog.nerdfeliz.com, but now the address changed! And not only the address, but the design and the focus of this blog also changed! I will be focusing more on Children’s Ministry, Parenting, Cognitive Psychology and things related to that (including some occasional nerdy posts, of course). And I will also add time in my week to write, to make sure I will update it regularly… how cool is that?!

I kept the old posts for historical reasons. Some of them are quite stupid, but some of them are really good, and I recommend reading, specially the ones under the category Truth or Deep.

I am also still fixing minor problems with the design, but I think everything should be quite smooth by now. If you find any problem, I will appreciate if you can write a comment explaining what the problem is (please also tell me your browser and OS).
