Excited!

I have many reasons to be excited and thankful to God!

First: I am going to the USA in 12 days! I am going to spend some time around LA and San Francisco, go to Disneyland and to Las Vegas to go to NAPKIN CONFERENCE! How cool is that?! :)

Second: I am going to Brazil for a week to spend some time with my family and a few friends! It will be awesome… I love my Country and I am happy to spend some time over there!

Third: I finally got my Australian Driver License last Friday! I transferred my Brazilian license and after an annoying test I got an unrestricted Australian license (no need for P1, P2 or similar annoying thing).

Last one (because I need to sleep): tonight we had an AWESOME kids service and I know tomorrow will be just the same… can’t wait to be a blessing to more children and families! And that is why I need to stop writing now… I need to go to bed…

Be blessed and see you in Vegas! (or at Church tomorrow, if you live in Sydney…)

The Dumb, The Fool and The Funny.

After watching the video present on this link, I am not sure if I am more ashamed for being Brazilian or for being almost Australian. The video was at some fancy meeting of the G-20, and shows the President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama II, praising the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio “Lula” (literally translated to Squid in English, and for the sake of fun it is how I will call him from now on) da Silva. Watch the video and keep reading.

President Squid shows us his amazing communication skills by acting like a potato after President Obama tells him that he is his favourite, and that he is the most popular president on Earth because of his good looks. Even though Mr. Squid (SpongeBob’s friend… muahahaha!) had someone translating to portuguese everything Mr. Obama said, he was unable to say thanks or reply in any other way.

The Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. Kevin Rudd, on the other hand, proved once more that a fool looks (and only looks) wiser when his mouth is shut.

And about what President Obama said… well… that obviously was his April Fools’ Day joke! Did you get it? Very funny! :)

O Burro, o Tolo e o Engraçado.

Entendeu?? Muito engraçado! :)

Fico Assim sem Você by Adriana Partimpim

Avião sem asa
Fogueira sem brasa
Sou eu, assim, sem você

Futebol sem bola
Piu-piu sem Frajola
Sou eu, assim, sem você…

Porque é que tem que ser assim?
Se o meu desejo não tem fim

Eu te quero a todo instante
Nem mil alto-falantes
Vão poder falar por mim…

Amor sem beijinho
Buchecha sem Claudinho
Sou eu, assim, sem você

Circo sem palhaço
Namoro sem abraço
Sou eu, assim, sem você…

Tô louca pra te ver chegar
Tô louca pra te ter nas mãos

Deitar no teu abraço
Retomar o pedaço
Que falta no meu coração…

Eu não existo longe de você
E a solidão, é o meu pior castigo
Eu conto as horas pra poder te ver
Mas o relógio tá de mal comigo…

Por quê? Por quê?

Neném sem chupeta
Romeu sem Julieta
Sou eu, assim, sem você

Carro sem estrada
Queijo sem goiabada
Sou eu, assim, sem você…

Porque é que tem que ser assim?
Se o meu desejo não tem fim

Eu te quero a todo instante
Nem mil alto-falantes
Vão poder falar por mim…

Eu não existo longe de você
E a solidão, é o meu pior castigo
Eu conto as horas pra poder te ver
Mas o relógio tá de mal comigo…

Server Migration, WordPress Upgrade…

This is only to say that I just upgraded my WordPress to a new version, and also to say that about a month ago this blog moved from a shared server on Dreamhost (they are good) to a dedicated virtualized server on Linode (they are better).
That’s all about servers for now! :D

Open Letter to the Heterophobic

Everyone probably heard the word homophobia, but I’m writing to talk about the other side: the heterophobia.

Today I was reading the very-bad quality free newspaper called “South Sydney Herald”, that I receive as SPAM every month (I guess). I always have a quick look just to see what else they are saying about christians. They hate christians, specially the ones that go to Hillsong Church, like me.

Well, the first page was talking about some gay and lesbian people that went to the front of a Gloria Jean’s cafe to complain about their support to the Mercy Ministries. What were they complaining about? Well, they said that the Mercy Ministries separate woman’s couples.

I’m not writing here to defend the Mercy Ministries (even though I would gladly do it), but I’m writing to tell you how impressed I am with the heterophobia of these gay movements.

Look, if you are homossexual, please know that I LOVE you, as Jesus does. I hate the homossexual lifestyle, but I DO love homossexuals. And if I had a software company, I would hire you if you were good enough, independently if you are gay or not. I really don’t care if you want to have sex with another person of the same sex as you, it doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t mind if you want to get married with someone of the same sex. I don’t even care if you want to get married with 10 different people! It is your life, your decisions, your consequences, not mine.

Now, I DO care if you start to act as a heterophobic, complaining about people that decided to not be homossexual anymore. It’s the same situation: it’s their life, their problem, not yours.

And I also DO care very much if you send to my address free SPAM gay newspapers (as I received once), with not only text, but very offensive pictures. The editors of that newspaper are lucky that I don’t have children, otherwise I would sue them for sending to my house such material as that.

Really! You can live your life as you want, I don’t mind and I promess that I will not disrespect the right of decision that God gave you. But please, don’t think that being heterophobic will help, because it won’t.

Update:

If you don’t like Mercy ministries, ok, forget what I said about gladly defending them, because I don’t closely know what they do. But I also don’t believe in anything the Australian media says. They are much worse than the Brazilian media when it comes to making up stories (and the Brazilian media is REALLY bad).
